Hey everybody, our Fall clothing line is done, and it’s better than ever….. Everything shown is currently availible at Pleasant Girl (2541 Main Street in Vancouver) and at our studio……Have a look:

Just in time for Back to School, our super cute Denim Jumper ($109) has pockets for your pencils, keys and cell phone. I’m loving mine with leggings and flat boots, and of course our new Wool Friday purse!!

tieblouse.jpg
I love a recycled textile, and our Tie Blouse ($92) doesn’t disappoint! We have a couple fab fabric patterns available, and all have a snap placket at the side, so no more boob-gape–something we can all enjoy!!
denimmini.jpg

Our Stretch Denim Mini is great with our Tie Blouse and tights…… I love the combination of a fitted skirt with a more voluminous top, it’s stylish and effortless at the same time. I have a feeling this will be my go-to skirt this winter…….

stripedtop.jpg

Also good with our Denim Mini, our Striped Draped Neck Top ($68) is sure to be a grab and go item on the days you’re running late (or maybe that’s just me!!) It’s super soft knit jersey, so it feels casual like a t-shirt, and the draped neck makes it special.

boucleskirt.jpg

Our Wrap Skirt is a fall basic, and this one ($79) won’t let you down!! Tie it at the waist or hip, this skirt falls from the body in a 50′s meets 70′s sort of way that looks great on every body type—Yay!!

cowltunic.jpg

Our Cowl Neck Tunic ($68) is also super easy to wear, and it’s made from a Bamboo/Cotton/Spandex blend, so it’s super comfortable + eco to boot!! It’s super long in length, and cut to be sleek on the body…… I can’t wait to wear mine with skinny jeans and the 80′s belts I keep finding!!

Our Tie Closure Sweater ($109) features granny pockets and multi-coloured disco stripe fabric detail, so it will go with pretty much everything. Made from stretch fleece, it feels as comfortable as your favorite house coat, but in a much more eye pleasing way!!

I hope you enjoy our Fall clothing items…… email me if you’re not in Vancouver and I’ll do my best to get you your size. Bye for now, Janna

we heart cashmere

scarf.jpg

My favorite thing about fall is our recycled cashmere scarves…… Salvaged from the thrift pile, these 100% cashmere lovelies keep necks warm and add a bit of colour to your outfit. I’m loving all the fun colour combinations, and I’m really glad to be reusing a ‘luxury’ fabric in a way that helps the environment, and people (via the thrift shops). I’ve really worked it this year, having scoped out shops wherever I’ve been (yes, they have cashmere in Hawaii!!) so this batch is brighter and cosier than ever before. And not to worry, every scarf has been laundered and double checked for holes, so it feels brand new.

So how should you care for your new cashmere scarf? No, you need not head off to the dry cleaners…… cashmere is surprisingly easy to care for…….

When your scarf is needing a wash, you can hand wash in mild detergent, or pop it in a mesh laundry bag and wash it on a WOOL or DELICATE setting in the machine. If you hand wash, rinse your scarf thoroughly, but don’t pull or wring the water out, just roll it in a towel and squeeze out any excess water. And whether you hand wash or use the machine, please flat dry your scarf on either a towel, or better yet a drying rack……. I always suggest washing your scarf before tucking it away in spring, and if your house is particularily moth prone, pop it in a ziplock bag before putting it away.

Our scarves are currently availible at Tartooful and Room 6 in North Vancouver, but we’ll have lots more out there soon, including our online shopping section……. who thought ‘eco’ could be so chic?!
