So here we are again, it’s time to raise those stubby beer bottles and wrap our Canadarms around one another and celebrate ourselves for being Canadian.

I like to think that we have a canoe-load of great design talent here in Canada, but quite often I think it goes unnoticed, since so much of it is independent. Vancouver has an amazing amount of talented people making so many great products, so while I should probably be trying to tell you yet another reason to buy an Astrosatchel, I’d rather give you a quick list my of personal favorite reasons to ‘Shop Canadian’:

Are the bags in your online section the only ones for sale?

The bags we have featured in our online shopping area are all ready for immediate shipment, but if you saw something that you really need to have, please let us know and we can make it for you. It might take a bit longer for us to get it to you, but it’ll be worth the wait!

Will you make a bag with my own image on it, like my company logo?

Unfortunately we are only currently making bags with our own images on them right now.

Are all the bags in your catalogue available?

Yes- I hate it when things you love are suddenly discontinued, so you can still get your hands on that bag you saw in 2003, just let us know!

Do you have any plans to sell in my town?

We are always looking for new shops to carry our product, so feel free to spread the word and tell your favorite shops about us- help spread the love!!

Now, it’s even easier to get your hands on our stuff- we have two new stores carrying our goods!

Here in Vancouver, you can now find our clothing line at Twigg&Hottie (3671 Main Street). This is our first shop to carry just our clothing, and we’re very excited to be working with the ladies there. You’ll find our recycled fabric garments, including our hot weather ready stitched collar top and sundress to get you through the it’s-hot-and-I-have-nothing-to-wear days!

And we’re finally available in Nanaimo BC, no more ferry rides to get your Astrosatchel fix……. Just go to Catwalk (45 Commercial Street) to get your next bag.

This Saturday, June 16, the studio will be open from 12-4. We still have some of our ‘sale items’ left from our last open house, and it’s always nice to meet people who enjoy our products. So come down and say hello!
